Viber For Windows 10 Finally Released

It has been over a year since Viber confirmed that it was developing a universal app for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile. Viber didn’t really give any detailed updates on the development progress, but it did confirm a few months ago that work was ongoing. Last month it released the app to beta testers and today Viber for Windows 10 has finally been released to the public, albeit in beta.

Viber for Windows 10 has gone live in the Windows Store today. It’s available as a free download from the Store and it’s going to be available across all devices that run Windows 10.

The app enables users on Windows 10 to send messages, make HD-quality phone and video calls over Wi-Fi and cellular connections. Microsoft points out that this app has been built from the ground up for Windows 10 so it features a familiar user interface that suits every Windows device.

Additional features in the app include end-to-end encryption, People app integration, public chats, group messages of up to 200 people, as well as the ability to delete a message after it has been sent.

Viber for Windows 10 beta is now available as a free download from the Windows Store. Its responsive design ensures that the app is optimized for the best possible viewing experience regardless of whether it’s being used on a tablet, desktop or mobile device.
