With so many games to choose from in today’s market, we’re sure some of the younger gamers might be curious as to why Crash Bandicoot is still getting so much attention these days. It is because Crash Bandicoot was one of the classics of the original PlayStation, which we guess you could almost think of as it being Sony’s “Mario” equivalent.
Now we have heard reports that we could be looking at a Crash Bandicoot revival and even Sony themselves have acknowledged the demand, but the company has not shared anything related to the rumors, at least until now where Sony together with Activision will be bringing remastered versions of Crash Bandicoot onto the PS4.
Note that since Activision still owns the Crash Bandicoot franchise, we guess Sony was never really in a position to share any details, or maybe they were still in talks at that time. That being said, it is now out in the open where gamers can look forward to a remastered Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2, and Crash Bandicoot Warped.
Unfortunately apart from the announcement of the remasters, Sony did not share any further details like a release date or a trailer. Given how old the game is, safe to say that we’re extremely curious to see what a remastered Crash Bandicoot could look like on today’s consoles.
