Two of Samsung’s highly anticipated fitness tracking wearable devices were announced just last week. The Gear Fit 2 and Gear Icon X are now official, and they will soon be available for purchase in the United States. You may have to wait for the latter a bit but you can place a pre-order for the Gear Fit 2 starting today. Pre-orders can be placed through Samsung’s online store.
Customers in the United States can now pre-order the Gear Fit 2 from Samsung’s online store. It costs $179.99 with free shipping, it may take up to ten days for it to arrive after you have placed an order.
The original Gear Fit was quite a robust fitness tracking wearable device and the successor is even better. It features an improved display, better design, built-in GPS tracking, and it even serves as a standalone music player.
Aside from its 1.5 inch curved Super AMOLED display the Gear Fit 2 also features a 1GHz dual-core Exynos 3250 processor with 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, and a 200mAh battery. A heart rate monitor, barometer, accelerometer, and gyroscope are also onboard alongside Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi.
Samsung did confirm the U.S. price for this product when it was unveiled. The Gear Fit 2 is going to cost you $179.99, it’s certainly an attractive fitness tracker at this price.
