Speaking in an interview with IGN, Aonuma said, “I would like to take what I learned from Breath of the Wild and see if we can somehow fuse those learning points into another multiplayer Zelda. For example, with Triforce Heroes, which followed a similar format of Four Swords, there was a multiplayer involved in that game. That’s definitely a possibility and we will continue to [experiment] throughout the Zelda franchise.”
No doubt that Tri Force Heroes was an interesting take on the Zelda franchise, but then again it wasn’t really the reason why gamers loved the Zelda franchise to begin with. So far many gamers have reacted positively to the Breath of the Wild demo that was shown off during E3, meaning that what Nintendo has done so far is right, but what do you guys think? Would you like to see more multiplayer Zelda titles in the future?
