The Wii U hasn’t been doing so well at least compared to other consoles, but if you recall, Mario Kart 8 was one of the first-party titles from Nintendo to actually help spur sales. Given how old the franchise is and how beloved it is amongst gamers, we guess it shouldn’t really come as a surprise.
Now it has been a while since we’ve seen any updates or new content for Mario Kart 8, but gamers might be pleased to learn that we could be getting new DLCs soon. A recent tweet from Nintendo of Europe revealed a screenshot from the Kalamari Desert track from the Mario Kart 64 version of the game.
It was then captioned, “Good things come to those who wait” followed by an “#MK8” hashtag. If the hashtag had not been put, we suppose it could have easily been interpreted as a throwback to the good old days, but with the hashtag, it seems to hint that maybe we could be looking forward to the Mario Kart 8 take on Kalamari Desert, or maybe something that is its equivalent.
Either way we’re sure this is something to get excited over, especially if you’ve kind of played the other Mario Kart 8 tracks to death already. Nintendo recently revealed that E3 2016 will be more than just about Zelda, so maybe we will learn more about a potentially new DLC then,
