Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be released on the 7th of June, and given its unique gameplay and the success of the original, we’re sure there are gamers who are interested in checking out what the sequel (some are calling it a reboot) has to offer. The good news is that if you don’t want to drop money on the game before trying it, you won’t have to.
A report from GameSpot has revealed that Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is now available on EA Access and Origin Access. This is a trial of the game and for gamers who have a subscription to either service (EA Access is for the Xbox One, and Origins Access is for the PC0, you will be able to take the game for a spin for up to 6 hours.
This should allow gamers to experience various missions across two districts in the game, which obviously isn’t the extent of the entire game, but hopefully it should give gamers a good idea of what to expect and whether or not they’d like to play the game in its entirety. The good news is that if you do decide to proceed with the full game, your saves will carry over upon its release.
This will save gamers time from having to redo content they’ve done already. A subscription to EA Access or Origins Access will cost gamers $4.99 a month so in addition to trialing Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, there are other added benefits that might be worth your money.
