Hideo Kojima’s split from Konami has been well chronicled. He has since left Konami and set up his own shop called Kojima Productions. The logo held a clue about the studio’s mascot, which was later revealed. The picture you see above gives us a new look at the Kojima Productions’ mascot. The image contains the phrase “I’ll keep coming,” and it partially shows the face of a person which may or may not be a character in the new studio’s upcoming title.
Kojima Productions producer Ken-ichiro Imaizumi said back when the full-body image of the mascot called Ludens was released last month that it’s not an image of the game that the studio is working on, and today he clarified that this image isn’t a screenshot from that game.
So if the studio says that this image isn’t from the game, then it begs the question, is Ludens even going to figure into the game that Kojima Productions is working on for PlayStation 4 and PC? One can only speculate at this point in time.
As far as the game itself is concerned, Hideo Kojima has mentioned in the past that the genre of this game is action and that it’s going to appeal to people who like The Division and Uncharted 4. Kojima hasn’t said when the new game will arrive and what it’s going to be called.
