About a week ago, we reported that the rumors were saying that we could be getting a sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us. If you enjoyed the original game, we’re guessing that you would probably not mind a sequel. The good news is that it looks like the sequel could be the real deal thanks to recently leaked promo posters.
As you can see in the image above, it is supposedly a promo poster that is meant to be included free for pre-orders of the game. This is according to an email that was sent out to GameStop managers that the folks at Polygon managed to get their hands on as well. Unfortunately apart from “confirming” the game, no dates are mentioned regarding its release.
We do know that it will be called Injustice 2, which also means that they could be dropping the “Gods Among Us” title, or maybe opting for something else, but either way it looks pretty good. The rumors are suggesting that we could hear some kind of announcement at E3 2016 which isn’t really that much of a stretch.
The game will most likely be developed by NetherRealm Studios, the same developers behind the Mortal Kombat X title. With the conclusion in the original Injustice game, we have to wonder what the storyline in Injustice 2 will be about. Given the poster image, could we be looking at Batman versus the Flash?
