Google Maps For Android Has A Beta Channel You Can Signup For

If you are interested in participating in betas, whether you’re just naturally curious and want to find out things before everyone else does, or if you’re genuinely interested in finding bugs and holes in software, you might recall that earlier this year Google announced that they would be launching an Android beta program.

This program isn’t so much for the Android operating system itself, but rather it allows Android developers to release apps in beta form to the public. As it stands, Android beta apps aren’t new, but the goal of this program is to open it up to more users. Now if you’re looking for a beta to participate it, Google has launched their own beta channel for Google Maps.

As expected of a beta, this will contain new and upcoming features that aren’t available in the mainstream app yet. This also means that the app you’re using isn’t the final version and that there is a chance that what you experience might not make the final cut. There are also issues regarding bugs and stability, which is why these beta apps aren’t designed to be daily drivers.
