Quoting industry watchers, a report out of Korea suggests that sales of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge combined will cross 25 million units by the end of June 2016. They’re taking to about actual sales to the end consumer here, not just shipments.
The report suggests that the great performance of Samsung’s 2016 flagship can be attributed to the fact that the Galaxy S7 is a quality product, aided by an early launch as well as an aggressive marketing campaign which has really helped its cause.
It’s also mentioned in the report that the Galaxy S7 Edge has predictably been outselling the regular Galaxy S7 even though it’s a bit more expensive. The great performance of these smartphones will reflect in the company’s balance sheets, it’s expected to post high profit margins in the second quarter of this year.
