There are lots of rumors floating around these days about the next flagship handset from Samsung. Some believe it will be called the Galaxy Note 6 while others are of the view that Samsung will skip a number and call it Galaxy Note 7 instead. The name is beside the point, though, rumor has it that the upcoming flagship could have a curved edge display, and an alleged teaser which has leaked online seems to suggest that it could be possible.
The alleged teaser suggests that not only is the upcoming flagship going to be called Galaxy Note 7 as rumored, but it’s also going to feature a curved edge display. Samsung hasn’t done that to a Note since the Note Edge arrived a couple of years ago.
It also carries a slogan which reads “write on the edge of something great,” which hints at the curved edge display as well as at enhanced capabilities for the S Pen. Previous rumors have suggested that perhaps the edge display will be made more useful by enabling the S Pen to write on the curved display.
Other than all of this, the Galaxy Note 7 is expected to feature a 5.8 inch Super AMOLED QHD resolution display with a Snapdragon 823 processor, 6GB RAM, and possibly Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Samsung has not confirmed or even teased anything about this handset yet so it’s best to take rumors with a grain of salt for now. The next Galaxy Note flagship is likely to be announced in the first week of August.
