Given the naming schemes we’ve had so far, it is easy to assume that this year’s Galaxy Note handset is the Galaxy Note 6, but rumors have suggested that Samsung could skip the 6 and jump straight to the Galaxy Note 7 (although we can’t be sure why). That being said, thanks to leaked photos and video courtesy of @OnLeaks and uSwitch, we have an idea of what to expect.
As you can see in the video above, it shows the alleged render of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. If you’re wondering why it looks so familiar, it is because apparently Samsung has borrowed from the design of their previous models, the Galaxy S7 Edge and have given the Note 7 dual curved edge displays which we’re starting to think will become standard of Samsung phones in the future.
Other than that, the phone looks pretty standard and at the bottom right corner, that is where the S Pen will go. In terms of specs, the leaked video and renders didn’t reveal much, but what we have heard so far is that the phone will come with a 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED display and possibly with 6GB of RAM and a 4,000mAh battery.
It has been suggested that there could be iris scanning technology and Samsung’s recent filing for the trademark in the US has fueled those rumors even further. In any case all of this should be taken with a grain of salt, but if the rumors of an August launch are true, we guess we won’t have to wait much longer to find out the details.
