According to Blass’s tweet, it reads “Confirmed” followed by the Galaxy Note 7 logo. Of course it should be noted that anyone could have easily cooked up that logo using Microsoft Paint, but considering that Blass has had a very stellar track record when it comes to reporting on rumors and leaks, there is a good chance he might be right about this.
Like we said, we have no idea why Samsung would want to skip an entire generation. Perhaps they feel that this year’s Galaxy Note model has too many features for it to be considered a mere successor to last year’s model? There was a recent rumor that Samsung might not even offer a flat screen version of the phone, instead they will only be offering a curved variant.
In any case take it with a grain of salt, but last we heard there are plans for the phone to be announced on the 2nd of August, so hopefully we will find out more details about the phone then.
