Samsung’s next flagship smartphone is just around the corner. The company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 7 in early August, and a report out of Korea suggests that it’s going to start mass production of the new Note handset in July. This would give the company ample time to get the initial supply ready which would cater to the launch before the handset is rolled out in more markets across the globe.
ET News has reported that Samsung is going to start mass production of the Galaxy Note 7 next month. It’s expected to do an initial run of five million units and then following up with two production runs of 2.5 million units each by the end of July and in August, respectively.
Samsung appears to believe that the new Note handset is going to perform better than its predecessor. It produced five million units of the Galaxy Note 5 in three months after launch if the latest estimate is believed then Samsung looks hopeful that the new Note will follow in the footsteps of the Galaxy S7.
The Galaxy Note 7 is rumored to have a 5.8 inch dual-edge curved Quad HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor with 6GB RAM, USB Type-C, an iris scanner, and a 4,000mAh battery. The handset is likely to be sold by all major carriers in the United States.
