Alleged Fujifilm X-T2 Photo Compares It Against The X-T1

So far based on the leaks we’ve seen, the upcoming Fujifilm X-T2 will look more or less the same as its predecessor, the X-T1. However thanks to photos obtained by Fuji Rumors, it seems that the X-T2 will be slightly larger than the X-T1, as you can see in the size comparison in the photo above with the X-T2 on the left, and the X-T1 on the right.

What this means is that if you’ve got any cases that you’re using with your X-T1 right now, they probably won’t fit. It also means that existing cases sold by companies won’t fit it either, so we guess you’ll have to wait for X-T2 compatible cases to be released. Then again, this hasn’t been confirmed so take it with a grain of salt for now.

Like we said, on the surface they don’t appear too different but there are some changes Fujifilm has made to the camera and its controls. For starters the video recording button has been moved to the left control dial and won’t be situated near the shutter release button. There is also a new metering mode, bringing the total to four versus the three on the X-T1.

It also appears that there are some slight changes to the rear controls, but nothing too major. The X-T2 is rumored to be announced on the 7th of July, thanks to the invites Fujifilm has been sending out, so mark that date down and check back with us then for the details.
