Microsoft is running an amazing promotion for students who are in the market for a new computer. It’s making it very hard for them to resist picking up the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 because if they do the company is going to give them an Xbox One for free. Students can take advantage of this promotion through retail stores in the United States.
Microsoft is going to shave off $300 from the bill when students purchase a Surface Pro 4 and Xbox One, which basically means that they get the console for free. “So basically a free Xbox One with the purchase of a Surface Pro 4,” says Terry Myerson, chief of Windows.
This is also a great way for Microsoft to clear inventory of the Xbox One as the new Xbox One S has already been announced and it’s going to be shipping soon. Microsoft recently cut the price of the original Xbox One to give another boost to sales so that it can wipe its hands off the inventory.
This promotion is a great way to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. Students get a free console so it’s unlikely that they will complain about this promotion and Microsoft gets to sell them a Surface Pro 4 as well.
The promotion is live at Microsoft’s retail stores across the United States stating today and will be available until August 14th.
