Last year we heard rumors that a BioShock Collection could be in the works. In case the name wasn’t obvious, this is basically a collection of all the BioShock games released to date in a single bundle to make it easier for gamers to get into the franchise. A couple of months ago, the bundle was spotted at multiple rating agencies.
In case all of that wasn’t confirmation enough, this time the latest leak comes from the source itself Users on NeoGAF (via Game Informer) have spotted a listing for BioShock: The Collection on 2K’s website itself. The page has since been taken down, but apparently the assets are still on 2K’s servers which suggests that maybe the information went up a little earlier than they had expected.
We can only hope that with this leak that it means that we could be inching closer towards an official announcement. So far not many details about the bundle has been revealed, but it is speculated that it will be released on the PS4, Xbox One, and the PC. While it will probably contain all the games, there is no word on DLCs, although we guess it wouldn’t be surprising if they included those as well.
The franchise’s original developer Irrational Games has been shut down which means that until Take-Two can find a new developer, gamers will have to make do with this collection for now, but don’t worry as Take-Two had previously reassured gamers that the franchise isn’t going anywhere.
