According to a post on YouTube’s blog, they have given us a glimpse at what YouTube could look like inside of Daydream’s platform. As you can see in the screenshot above, it shows YouTube’s UI floating around in VR where users can scroll through different videos while having another video playing the background.
“We’re creating the YouTube VR app to provide an easier, more immersive way to find and experience virtual reality content on YouTube. It also comes with all the YouTube features you already love, like voice search, discovery, and playlists, all personalized for you, so you can experience the world’s largest collection of VR videos in a whole new way.”
YouTube also announced that they will be working with NBA, BuzzFeed, and Tastemade to help create videos designed specifically for the virtual reality space. They are also working with camera makers to help make devices that are Jump-ready.
