Microsoft is already expected to showcase some new hardware at E3 2016. It was reported earlier today that the company could introduce new Xbox TV streaming devices in June but it appears that this may not be all we see from the company. A new report suggests that the Xbox One Slim will be unveiled by Microsoft at its E3 2016 press event. A more powerful Xbox One has been rumored for next year.
References to a new Xbox One wireless chip were first discovered about a month ago, and it’s now being claimed that this cheaper, small Xbox One is going to be unveiled at E3. It may come with a 2TB hard drive while being 40 percent smaller than the current model and with support for 4K video.
The more powerful Xbox One is reportedly codenamed Scorpio. It’s rumored to have a more powerful graphics processor so as to support 4K gaming, and that it’s going to be “technically capable” of supporting the Oculus Rift. Microsoft may also be looking at a partnership with Oculus.
None of this has been confirmed by Microsoft yet but we’re surely going to hear about this if Microsoft has it on the agenda for its E3 2016 press conference. We’ll have to wait until 12:30 pm, June 13th to find out for sure.
