Earlier this year we reported that a survey was making its rounds in which it hinted that Blizzard might be thinking about creating rewards to celebrate the upcoming Warcraft movie. At that time it indicated that it would need players in World of Warcraft to actually watch the movie in order to claim that reward, but now it sounds like you won’t have to.
According to recently discovered achievements, it seems that all players have to do is log into the game following the international premiere of the movie. They will two months to do so which we guess means that players will have until early August in order to claim their rewards, which is basically one main hand weapon and one off-hand item.
For the Alliance they will be getting Replica Lion’s Fang and Replica Lion’s Heart, while the Horde will be getting Replica Blood Guard’s Cleaver and Replica Staff of Gul’dan. Details of the item are a bit scarce at the moment, but basically they are level 1 items and we guess the whole point of them is to be used as transmog items as opposed to actual items you can use in quests, instances, or raids.
We expect that they will be added to the game in an upcoming minor patch especially when you consider that the movie is about a month away.
