About a year back Viber confirmed that it would release a universal app for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile. It appears that the company has now started rolling out the official Viber for Windows 10 Mobile app to beta testers. Multiple reports have come in from people who have received this app and have taken it for a spin on their Windows 10 Mobile-powered smartphones.
Viber had previously invited Windows 10 Mobile users to sign up and be part of the beta program. Many people signed up and they have since been waiting to get the app and it appears that Viber has started rolling it out now.
It carries version number 6.0 and is said to be working just fine. Users are reporting a few minor issues but that’s to be expected from a beta release, it goes without saying that they will most likely be addressed before the app is released for everybody.
Viber hasn’t confirmed when it’s going to release the official app for Windows 10 PC. It hasn’t started rolling one out to beta testers just yet but given that the one for Windows 10 Mobile is out, it may not be long before the PC app is released to testers as well.
It has promised to release a universal app for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile so it may not be long before both are released to the public.
