Verizon Updates Galaxy S6 And S6 Edge

It is nice to see mobile carriers introduce software updates to the smartphones that it has sold to date, and when it comes to Verizon, they have just rolled out updates for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. In this new release, your software version would be bumped up to VRU4CPD2 after updating, and if you are impatient to wait fro the OTA (Over The Air) update, you can always perform it manually by choosing Settings > About device > Software updates, and move forward from there.

This particular update would be accompanied by the May security patches, and there is also one important point about it – it also fixes the Google Play app update and download issues, in addition to solving some Visual Voice Mail access problems, all the while getting rid of the Amazon Music app which happens to be bloatware.

Google search can also be accessed via the Settings menu now, while there is a “Send Premium SMS” field which has been thrown into the mix as well, not to mention a new setting that informs you on the amount of RAM that is being utilized by apps at the moment. All in all, this is an update that should not be missed if you’re a Verizon subscriber rocking to one of the two handsets.
