Chances are when you first heard that there would be a live-action Transformers movie, you were pretty psyched. After all the cartoon version was already pretty epic, so imagine seeing it in “real-life”. Unfortunately for the most part the Transformer movies haven’t exactly been well-received which many have blamed Michael Bay’s directing of the movie for.
Now if you’re still holding out on the possibility of getting the Transformers movie we deserve, Michael Bay will be taking one more shot with the recently announced Transformers: The Last Knight. The movie will see the return of Mark Wahlberg, Isabela Moner, and Jerrod Carmichael, just to name a few.
Production of the movie is also expected to begin on the 6th of June and it is set for a release on the 23rd of June, 2017, meaning that we’ve got a little more than a year of waiting to do before we will be able to see it for ourselves. This movie won’t be the last in the franchise despite the name. Instead come 2018 there will be a Bumblebee spin-off movie, and in 2019 we can expect Transformers 6.
