Several months ago, it was indicated that Titanfall 2 could be released in the Winter of 2016. However the folks at EA reached out and provided an update in which they stated that the date is wrong as they have yet to officially determine when the game would be released. The good news is that we now have a confirmed timeframe.
According to the latest financial earnings EA published today, it seems that they have confirmed that they will be releasing Titanfall 2 in the Fall of 2016. As you can see in the image to the right, Titanfall 2 will be released in the same timeframe as Battlefield 1, EA’s latest installment in the Battlefield franchise which has been set for a 21st of October launch.
No specific dates have been provided by Titanfall 2, but we guess we’ll just have to contend with a rough timeframe for now. The game itself has yet to be officially announced and all we’ve gotten so far is a teaser trailer, but we expect that we will be able to expect an official announcement in the near future.
EA’s CEO Andrew Wilson also added that neither Battlefield 1 nor Titanfall 2 will end up cannibalizing each other, despite the fact that they both belong in the shooter genre, but we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
