Air pollution is a major concern particularly for people with respiratory conditions, which is why they have to pay a lot of attention to the air quality in their home. There are many devices available in the market today which can be used to gauge the quality of air in our homes but uHoo claims to have created the “most advanced” indoor air sensor. The uHoo smart air sensor has eight dedicated sensors that check the quality of air in your home.
Not only does it check the quality, uHoo is also capable of measuring the level of toxins and allergens that make the air inside your home hazardous. It’s capable of specifically detecting carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, dust, humidity, temperature, ozone, volatile organic compounds and air pressure.
The companion app will provide you with real-time alerts, a health diary to track changes over time, and it’s capable of keeping a record of the air quality in all your rooms and syncs that data with all of your devices. This smart air sensor is currently being piloted in two hospitals and a convention center.
The Singapore-based company behind this connected object is running a campaign on Indiegogo to fund the development of uHoo. It’s looking to raise $50,000 and has already achieved 30 percent of its goal with 31 days left in the campaign. Pledging $89 right now will get you a uHoo Classic.
