Note that we said “free” because technically this will involve customers having to pay for the phone upfront, but they will get the second for “free” in the form of monthly offset credit. This means that Sprint will eventually give you back the money for the phone, except that it will not come immediately.
According to Sprint, “Customers can purchase their new phones with monthly installments over 24 months OR lease them with 18 monthly lease payments. They can even mix it up by leasing one and purchasing the other one. Either option will get a monthly offset credit for the second, lower-cost device. Best of all, this offer works with two iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus or one of each.”
There will be some stipulations when it comes to accepting this offer, one of which includes having to add one new line of service and be eligible for an upgrade. However if a second iPhone isn’t what you’re after, Sprint will also be giving customers $200 off an iPad via a lease or monthly installments. More details can be found on Sprint’s website.
