When it comes to smartphones and other kinds of mobile devices, you know that the closer it gets to said device’s release date, the higher the chances there are for leaks concerning further information on said device to be revealed to the masses. Well, GFXBench supposedly showed off a couple of Sony-branded smartphones in April, namely the F3216 and F3311, with the F3216 being revealed as the Xperia XA Ultra officially earlier this month. What about the latter?
A new leak has shown that the F3311 will most probably be known as the Xperia E5, as it has been spotted in an official Russian Customs report, with the mention of it being the “F3311/Xperia E5.” For those who have followed Sony’s naming conventions closely, the Xperia E range from Sony will comprise of budget-friendly devices, and the F3311 does seem to conform to such “tradition” based on the specifications sheet that has been leaked, citing a 4.6” 720p display, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and MediaTek’s MT6735 chipset running the show.
What do you think of such a device? Will it be able to make a big splash in the market, or will we see it have robust sales only in the developing markets and emerging countries?
