It was just a few days ago that we brought you word on how the Samsung Gear Fit 2’s features as well as design have been confirmed in a leaked manual. Well, having said that, what else can we learn about this upcoming device? A whole lot more, apparently. It looks like the full hardware specifications for Samsung’s dedicated activity tracker has been revealed, with far better specifications compared to its predecessor.
It is touted that the new Samsung Gear Fit 2 will come with a 1.55” curved Super AMOLED display that boasts of a 216 x 432 pixel resolution, and will run on a Samsung-made, 1 GHz, dual-core processor and accompanied by 512MB of RAM. There will be 2GB of internal memory within, which will presumably see action when it comes to storing various apps as well as keeping track of your fitness data.
As for the software that will power the Samsung Gear Fit 2, we are looking at Samsung’s very own Tizen, with a 200mAh battery ensuring that this particular wearable will be able to last the distance. There will also be IP68 certification built into the device, which more or less guarantees that it can survive for a good 30 minutes while it remains 1.5 meters under water. There is no word on pricing or availability as at press time.
