Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Resident Evil 5 will be making its way onto the PS4 and Xbox One, so the only question is when will the game be released? The good news is that gamers won’t have to wait much longer because according to a recent Capcom announcement, the game has been pegged for a release come 28th of June.
Just in case it wasn’t obvious already, this is basically the HD remake of the game. Resident Evil 5 was released back in March of 2009, meaning that the game is essentially 7 years old. It also means that in terms of graphics, it will be kind of dated. However since this is a HD remake, it will feature a 1080p resolution and will also feature improved frame rates.
It will also be bundled with previously released DLCs and “The Mercenaries United” mode. All of the characters will also be unlocked at the start so players can essentially jump into the game with everything already opened up to them. There is no word on how much the game will cost, but if you’re looking to relive a classic, you’ll want to mark down the 28th of June on your calendars. In the meantime you can check out some of the high-res screenshots that have been released.
