Alongside the announcement of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, the folks at Infinity Ward have also confirmed that there will be a remastered version of Modern Warfare, which by the way will not be sold separately. Instead gamers are expected to buy it alongside Infinite Warfare in different bundles if they wish to get the game.
Now we know that this seems a bit unfair that you might have to spend more money than you’d like, but at the same time we think that it is a pretty good deal. A recent video posted by Giuseppe Nelva of DualShockers has revealed how big a difference the remastered version of the game is compared to the original.
Sure, we’ve seen the screenshots, but safe to say that this video really puts things into perspective. While Modern Warfare’s graphics are still somewhat decent even today, the remastered version looks like a completely different beast. The textures have been updated, the animations have more subtlety, and the effects and lighting are next level.
In essence what this really feels like is a completely brand new game, meaning that while having to purchase it in a bundle might be more than you’d be willing to spend, it really does feel like you’d be buying two brand new games. In any case you can check out the video above to see the comparisons between the old and the new.
