OnePlus conducted a VR launch event for the OnePlus 2 last year and this year it’s continuing with the VR theme. The company has announced that it has created a special new virtual reality experience through which it’s going to allow you to order the OnePlus 3 in virtual reality. The experience imagines where OnePlus would be decades from now when it has shifted its headquarters to space, it calls its space station The Loop.
OnePlus supported its VR launch last year by sending out 30,000 OnePlus Cardboard viewers for free. It’s taking it up a notch this year by launching the OnePlus Loop VR Headset, it’s a robust headset that provides a more immersive and comfortable experience.
The company has made Loop VR in collaboration with AntVR, a company that’s known for its work on VR optics. OnePlus is confident that this year’s VR experience will be vastly improved.
Like last year, it’s going to ship the Loop VR Headset for free, only 30,000 units are available so don’t waste any time in claiming your own.
OnePlus says that this will be the world’s first “shopping experience in VR,” visitors to The Loop will be able to order the OnePlus 3 in VR before anyone else. The OnePlus 3 is going to be announced in the near future.
