Last month thanks to a leaked image, it showed off what appeared to be the upcoming Fujifilm X-T2. We could only see the body of the camera, but now thanks to the folks at Fuji Rumors, it seems that they have managed to obtain more photos of the camera which shows off some of the dials on the device.
Now upon first glance it doesn’t look like much has changed, but it has. From the photos, it has been indicated that the dials are now thicker, which means accessing them and moving them should be a lot easier. There are also four metering modes now, one up from the three modes on the X-T1.
Also it appears that Fujifilm has decided to do away with the need for a video button. Instead accessing the video feature is placed on the dial to the left of the camera beneath the ISO dial. Given that the X-T1 required users to press and hold the button to enable video recording, hopefully this makes it a little less confusing.
Also it seems that Fujifilm has adopted a feature from the X100T, which is by introducing a threaded shutter release, meaning that you can attach a shutter release cable, or a soft release button (which for those unfamiliar will help users take more stable photos). In case take it with a grain of salt for now, but with the camera pegged for a June launch, we guess we won’t have to wait much longer to find out more about it.
