call-of-duty-endowment-cards

Activision has announced a new kind of DLC on Memorial Day weekend, it’s a new calling card set which supports the company’s Call of Duty Endowment organization that leads a nationwide effort to match veterans with high-quality jobs once their service has come to an end. The Call of Duty Endowment Valor Calling Card Set is a pack of three exclusive cards, one each for land, air, and sea.

The Call of Duty Endowment Valor Calling Card Set can be purchased through Call of Duty: Black Ops III, it’s being sold for a suggested retail price of $3.99. All gross proceeds that Activision gets by selling these cards will be donated to the Endowment, which uses these funds to help veterans find quality careers after the military service.

Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick founded this non-profit, public benefit corporation in 2009 with a mission to find and serve the best and most effective veteran-serving organizations focused on getting them good jobs.

The company mentions in its press release that the Endowment has funded almost 23,000 job placements to date, with average cost-per-placement being less than $600 with a six-month retention rate of 89 percent.

“To date, the Call of Duty community has contributed over $1 million to our efforts to help veterans through the in-game program,” said the Endowment’s Executive Director Dan Goldenberg, he also thanks Sony and Microsoft for their partnership in this endeavor as the in-game program enables Activision to collect donations from countless players within the Call of Duty game itself.
