When a particular smartphone or device for that matter is about to hit the market, you can be pretty darned sure that there will be plenty of advanced leaks and the like, ranging from photos to other kinds of information of the upcoming device. Motorola’s Moto X 2016 is also no exempt, as we hear the latest whispers on the grapevine that it will feature a Shattershield AMOLED display.
This is in addition to it being said to arrive with a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB of RAM, dock connectors and modular accessories, with the latter being able to make it be on par with that of the LG G5. Having said that, the 5.5” display on the Moto X 2016 is touted to resemble the Moto X Force/Droid Turbo 2 display, which would be of AMOLED nature and comes complete with Shattershield protection.
Apart from that, there are a couple of round holes located above the screen which point to a front-facing flash in the same vein as that of the Moto X Style, not to mention that the “Moto” logo means that the Motorola brand is no longer in effect. Do expect it to also be accompanied by a 13MP camera with OIS and a 2,600mAh battery. Sacrifices must be made to keep the chassis svelte at 5.2mm.
