In case you didn’t hear, the folks at Activision will be releasing a remastered version of the classic Modern Warfare title from the Call of Duty franchise. From what we can tell, the remaster looks pretty stunnng and it looks like it could standalone as a brand new game, but the question is how will Activision dedicate their resources to it?
After all with Infinite Warfare set for a release later this year, wouldn’t they rather focus their efforts on the game? The good news is that Activision won’t be neglecting the remake. According to a recent Q&A, Activision has confirmed that the remastered version of Modern Warfare will be getting their own dedicated servers.
This means that gamers won’t have to worry about Modern Warfare being thrown together with other Activision titles and share a server and resources, which hopefully means that the multiplayer experience will be the same as the upcoming Infinite Warfare, although we guess this will also largely depend on your internet connection.
In the meantime the remastered Modern Warfare will not be sold separately and will be sold together with the various Infinite Warfare bundles that are due for a release later this year on the 4th of November, 2016 across multiple platforms including the PS4, Xbox One, and the PC.
