It looks like if you happen to be rocking to a smartphone that runs on Windows 10 Mobile, then you might be pleased as punch to know that the folks over at Microsoft have not forgotten about this particular platform. After all, they are currently working on introducing native call as well as SMS blocking capability to the Windows 10 Mobile operating system, and this bit of information happened to have made an appearance via a leaked set of screenshots.
In the screenshots, it pointed to an app that was known as ID & Filter, where it offers the aforementioned functions. The app itself came with a description, “ID & Filter provides info about numbers known to send spam, and shows caller ID info about businesses who contact you.” In addition, ID & Filter will also enable the user to block calls from a specific category of business, ranging from the likes of advertising, real estate, couriers, finance, and taxi, among others. Pretty neat way of managing your personal life, don’t you think so?
It remains to be seen as to when this app will roll out for Windows 10 Mobile users, although one would not rule out the possibility that those who are part of the Insider program should be able to be the first in the group to enjoy such an experience.
