Get ready for even bigger Windows 10 Mobile-powered devices. Microsoft has made some changes to the specs requirements for Windows 10 Mobile and it has raised the maximum screen size allowed to 9 inches. This means that OEMs can now make Windows 10 Mobile devices that have displays of up to 9 inches. A smartphone or tablet can now have a screen this big and run Microsoft’s mobile platform.

Microsoft had previously set the limit at 8 inches but now it thinks that OEMs would rather like to have the option to create 9 inch devices, so it’s making it possible for them to do this by changing the specs that OEMs have to adhere to.

Another change that Microsoft has made to the requirements involves auto-flash. The company has made it mandatory for manufacturers to include auto-flash on Windows 10 Mobile devices. Many will appreciate that the company has made this change since there have been some low-end devices that didn’t even come with a flash.

Most of the other requirements for Windows 10 Mobile devices remain unchanged. Minimum specs requirements still include 8GB onboard storage and 1GB RAM as well as support for the same Qualcomm chipsets with integrated modems.

These chips include Snapdragon 820, Snapdragon 810, Snapdragon 808, Snapdragon 625, Snapdragon 617, Snapdragon 210, and the Snapdragon 208.
