Last month we reported that development footage of Mass Effect: Andromeda had leaked online, the footage showed a jetpack feature that may or may not be included in the final version of this game. What it may or may not feature aside, Bioware today confirmed when we can expect the game to arrive, it’s looking to release Mass Effect: Andromeda early next year. The game was initially supposed to be released during the holiday season in 2016 but it was delayed to 2017.
EA confirmed in March this year that Mass Effect: Andromeda was being delayed to next year, at that point it was said that the game would be released in the company’s fourth quarter, which runs from January to March 2017.
Today’s confirmation from Bioware echoes the comments made in March by EA CFO Blake Jorgensen as it says that the game will be out in early 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Bioware says that it needs the “right amount of time” to ensure that it can deliver “everything the game can be and should be.”
The developer has also said that it’s going to provide more information about Mass Effect: Andromeda during EA Play next month at the E3 gaming convention. It did reveal today that players will have an unprecedented level of freedom in the game and that there will be new uncharted worlds filled with new allies, new worlds, and new enemies.
