Ever since Destiny was released a couple of years ago, the folks at Bungie have been actively adding new content to the game. So far we have seen three expansions: The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and The Taken King. Now it looks like we could be learning of a new expansion soon thanks to a recently leaked poster spotted on Reddit.
As you can see in the image above, it shows the poster to the alleged upcoming Destiny expansion which will be called (based on the poster) “Rise of Iron”. Bungie has yet to make an official announcement but with E3 coming up in the next couple of weeks, we guess we won’t have to wait much longer to hear more about it.
For those wondering how real that photo is, the folks at Kotaku have since confirmed its authenticity with their sources, so even though it may not be 100% legit, we reckon we’re pretty close. Their source has told them that the Rise of Iron expansion is expected to be bigger than the first two DLCs released, and will also introduce a new raid.
It is possible that Rise of Iron could be the last expansion for the game ahead of Destiny 2, which was apparently delayed from 2016 to 2017. The Rise of Iron expansion is said to have filled that spot.
