Such is the case with the latest iOS 9 security update. If you are an iPhone user and you are finding yourself being prompted to enter your passcode more often than ever, don’t worry you’re not being hacked and neither are you alone. It turns out that this is thanks to new security rules that is part of iOS 9’s latest update.
Basically if you haven’t used your iPhone or iPad for at least 8 hours, you will be required to enter your passcode again. It also applies if you have not entered your passcode for the past 6 days, meaning that if you rely purely on Touch ID, chances are after a week you will be prompted to enter your passcode again.
The latter update makes sense, we guess, but the former does seem like it could be potentially annoying, especially if you’re at work all day and don’t have access to your phone. Or if you went to bed the night before and woke up and have to enter your passcode again. However we guess this does help make your phone more secure so it looks like iOS users will just have to make do with this minor inconvenience.
