Google Maps Driving Mode Gets Global Rollout

It was earlier this year that we brought you word on how the upcoming Google Maps update will be able to figure out as to where you are headed to in the form of “Driving Mode”, and it seems that this particular feature is now ready for a global rollout. Basically, Driving Mode will be smart enough to suggest destinations that are based on one’s travel history, as it shows off the amount of traffic on streets close by, as well as warn you concerning the possible road closures in the vicinity.

In other words, Google Maps Driving Mode is somewhat having a subtle co-pilot who does not harp on your ego because you do not want to ask for directions, and is the perfect companion just in case you are driving alone and do not seem to be soothed by tunes from your smartphone or CD player.

Do bear in mind that Driving Mode would be new for some people, as it first appeared earlier this year in select regions such as the US, Canada, and several European markets, although suggested destinations were not even then available to all. Driving Mode has now expanded itself to include the likes of India, Lebanon, Sweden, Germany, Finland, Argentina, Indonesia, the UK, Pakistan, and Brazil, among others.
