Samsung’s done with its first flagship launch of the year and in a couple of months, it’s going to launch its second flagship. The Galaxy Note 6 is due to arrive this August and it’s likely that this time around the company might also launch an “Edge” model of this flagship. Recent rumors suggest that Samsung might actually call its next flagship the Galaxy Note 7 instead of the Galaxy Note 6 to bring the moniker in line with the Galaxy S7.
Samsung has launched an Edge variant of its Galaxy Note flagship in the past as well so it won’t be surprising if it comes out with one again.
A listing on import tracker Zauba shows that a metal mask for a handset bearing model number SM-N935G has been imported into India. It’s not an actual prototype of the device, mind you, just a metal mask for the mobile phone production line.
Nevertheless, this is the first big indication we’ve seen that points towards the Galaxy Note 7 Edge aside from just hearsay, so it makes this more believable.
Samsung is likely going to unveil the Galaxy Note 7 (or Note 6) and its Edge variant in August this year. Galaxy Note handsets have traditionally been unveiled at the IFA trade show in Berlin.
