The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is Samsung’s next flagship smartphone. Last we heard, the handset was pegged for a launch in July instead of IFA which has typically been the case in the past few years. Now according to the latest rumors, it seems that maybe the July launch might be true after all.
According to a post by Evan Blass, the Galaxy Note 6 will be set for a release in the US on the 15th of August. “Samsung Galaxy Note 6 US release scheduled for week of August 15th.” While we have no idea when the phone will launch in July, launching the device in July and releasing in August would not seem like a stretch of the imagination.
In the meantime we have heard several rumors about the upcoming phone from Samsung. It seems that there might be more than one variant planned and we could be looking at the regular Galaxy Note 6, a version with a curved display, and a “Lite” model whose main difference would be the amount of RAM and screen resolution.
Apart from that, they are all expected to be powered by possibly either a Qualcomm chipset in the form of the unannounced Snapdragon 823, or it could be powered by an Exynos. Either way we’ll keep our eyes peeled for an announcement so check back with us in the coming months for the details.
