If you weren’t that satisfied with the previous F1 title then there’s good news for you. Codemasters has introduced F1 2016, making note of the fact that this title includes the “most immersive career mode” that it has ever featured in an F1 title. It has released some screenshots of the new game as well though they show a work in progress so don’t be too quick to pass judgements on the visuals just yet.
The new career mode in F1 2016 spans 10 seasons and will take players deeper into the world of F1, both off and on track. They’ve even thrown in the safety car and the virtual safety car for good measure.
“A rich car upgrade system is fully integrated into a new and deep practice development programme which mirrors the tests carried out by the teams in real life,” explains Lee Mather, principal game designer.
For the first time, players will be able to experience the practice development programme which lets them take advantage of the tests done by teams on a grand prix weekend. They can master circuits with track acclimatisation tests, test tyres, and adjust race strategy, while gaining Research and Development points which can be spent on upgrading cars.
Codemasters promises to reveal more information about this title in the near future. No release date has been provided as yet but F1 2016 is going to arrive at some point later this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
