For the longest time ever, monitors were flat. The only difference is how big the monitor’s display is, its resolution, the aspect ratio, and we guess more recently how thick its bezels are. However these days we are starting to look at more curved displays being offered, which supposedly offer a more immersive viewing experience.
We’re not sure how many of us would need such a display, but if you do, ASUS has announced the Designo Curve MX34VQ. This is a 34-inch curved monitor that will feature a UWQHD resolution, which basically translates to 3440×1440, which is actually a pretty high resolution and one that we reckon should look pretty good on the display.
The design of the monitor itself isn’t too shabby. According to ASUS, the monitor will come with the company’s SonicMaster audio that will incorporate Harman Kardon’s audio technology, so if you don’t have a pair of speakers already, don’t worry because this monitor has a pair already. The base of the monitor will also be able to serve up as a wireless charging pad for Qi-compatible devices.
Unfortunately ASUS did not mention how much the monitor would cost, but given its high resolution, its curved display, and other features, we reckon it will probably be relatively expensive.
