That being said, if music is a huge part of your entertainment, Apple has launched Apple Music for students. This is basically Apple Music, except that students will now get an educational discount of 50%, meaning that instead of forking out $10 a month, you will now only need to pay $5, which is not only cheaper, but also cheaper compared to other streaming services out there.
However the catch is that you will need to be a student at an eligible university, but unless you’re enrolled at some obscure education center that passes themselves off as a university/college, we reckon you should be good. The other catch is that obviously the student discount is not forever since we aren’t all students forever.
It will be valid for up to four years after signing up, which is basically enough to get you to the end of your degree. It is possible that Apple Music’s family plan could cheaper, or even free if you have a generous parent/sibling, but if not we think $5 is still a pretty decent price to pay. The discount is now live and will apply to new and existing subscribers, so go ahead and sign up if you haven’t done so already.
