Earlier this year, there were a couple of ASUS handsets that undergone the benchmarking process via GFXBench, and that was when plenty of the hardware specifications for those devices were revealed, although back then it would most probably be a prototype that saw action. Still, chances are there will be a pair of distinct Zenfone 3 models from ASUS, and it is not surprising to hear that yet another one would join the party as shown by the GFXBench database.
At the moment, this third device will be known only as the Asus Z016D, where GFXBench seems to have made a mistake concerning its screen size – citing 13.8” – although if one were to cite it as 13.8 centimeters, then it would translate to a far more believable 5.5″ display.
Such a screen would bear Full HD resolution, with Snapdragon 820 chipset from Qualcomm, accompanied by a whopping 4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal memory, a 21MP camera at the back that is more than capable of handling 4K video recording without missing a beat, while the front-facing camera does 8MP memories. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will be the mobile operating system of choice, and we will simply have to wait for the 30th of May (as opposed to the rumored June) to see everything unravel.
