The next iteration of the Android mobile operating system would be the Android N, and there has been a clarion call by Google themselves for the public to suggest names for Android N. We all know that each iteration of Android would be named after a particular dessert, where delicious names such as Marshmallow, Lollipop, KitKat and Froyo have been used before. This time around, what could be the finalized name of Andorid N? Well, it looks like a local sweet over in India, Neyyappam, have garnered quite a fair number of votes thanks to techies who live over in the southern Indian state of Kerala.
Just what is Neyyappam? It happens to be a very, very popular deep-fried dessert which is made of rice and jaggery, and while Neyyappam is one of the top picks at the moment to name Android N, there are other notable titles in the running such as nectarines, nachos and navy bean, although nectarines isn’t exactly a dessert per se as it is a kind of fruit, and nachos are more of a snack than anything else. Do you think you have what it takes to come up with the best Android name, or are you already weighing up the other options for future versions of Android?
