Given that Capcom’s financial statement ends 31st March, 2016, this means that the game has shipped that amount of units since about 6 weeks from its release, which was the 16th of February. Note that this is amount of copies shipped, which we should point out is different from units sold.
However like we said before, Capcom would only ship that amount if they knew that there was a demand, so it is safe to assume that actual sales units could be around there as well. Also 1.4 million units is a pretty decent. The most popular Street Fighter title is Street Fighter II which shipped 6.3 million units, followed by Street Fighter II Turbo which shipped 4.1 million.
Also we should point out that Street Fighter V is only released on the PC and the PS4, so we have to wonder if it had been released for the Xbox One how many more units they would have shipped.
