Capcom is regularly going to add new characters to Street Fighter 5 through DLCs, it appears that the second DLC character for the game is going to arrive soon because Capcom posted some screenshots on its Facebook page today which introduced a new character called Guile. The screenshots were promptly taken down leading us to believe that somebody at the company jumped the gun.
Capcom posted 14 screenshots of Guile on its official Facebook page before quickly taking them down. The company hasn’t made an official announcement for the second DLC character but one of its community managers said earlier this month that the second DLC character “should be Guile.”
Guile was first introduced in the Street Fighter universe back in 1991’s Street Fighter 2. Capcom previously confirmed at the PlayStation Experience 2015 event that he was going to be the one of five DLC characters that will be released for Street Fighter 5. Alex, the first post-release character, arrived with the March update.
No official announcement has been made yet by Capcom but seeing as how the images were posted on its official Facebook page, it won’t be long before Capcom does make an official announcement and confirms that Guile is indeed the second post-release character for Street Fighter 5.
Update: Capcom has confirmed through a blog post that Guile is indeed the second DLC character for this game and that he will be included in the April update. The character will be available for free to all players while the Air Force base which is Guile’s home stage will be sold for 70,000 Fight Money. Capcom hasn’t provided a confirmed release date as yet for the Street Fighter 5 April update.
